A Day with our Ducks…

Below is a video that I produced in partnership with Purina about my daily routine caring for our small flock of Khaki Campbell ducks on the farm. My initial objections to keeping ducks included the fact that they don’t naturally return to their coop at night, as chickens do. Using their food as a training tool was critical to overcoming this obstacle, which if not solved, would have spelled certain death for our ducks, thanks to our large population of coyotes, fox, owls, and raccoons.
